The Story of Civilization Volume 4 (IV) : BOOKMARKABLE M4B AUDIOBOOK FILE - Бесплатная аудиокнига

The Story of Civilization Vol. 4 'The Age of Faith' I've taken the audio for the 11 volumes of this epic tome from archive.org, which consist of over 500 files, and have concatinated them into 26 m4b audiobook files using the application 'Audiobook Builder' for the Mac. The files are arranged so there is one track per part of the series, the format of the files is m4b, using Apple's m4a (AAC) compression. Due to the extension 'm4b' they are bookmarkable when used on iTunes, iPod and iPhone and other Apple devices - there may be non-apple devices which support m4b files. Thanks to Detective John Carter of Mars for his support in the forums, as the original posts for the audiobooks fell out of the search engine listings and have ben re-entered. NOTE:- the original files were from cassette so I've made each cassette side a 'chapter' and for those who haven't used audiobooks on iPod before each chapter is selectable within the single file, duration of which can be up to 27 hours (I've not found software which can generate an audiobook longer than 27 hours yet). Most of the files for this series are around 18 hours. I've not edited out the markers at the end and the beginning of the cassettes, which tell the listener what cassette it is, when to turn it over and again when to change cassettes, as there are 50 or more cassette sides per volume, and to make edits at the beginning and end of each file would have been a thousand edits or thereabouts and would have probably taken days so though I would have liked to do it, logistically it would have taken way too much time.
