The dictionary defines the word smorgasbord as an extensive array or variety, and that’s just what you’ll find in this podcast. There are four sections to this program; first, there’s some free-form disc jockeying, then we’ll hear some selections from an album by Petra Haden called “Petra Goes To The Movies” in which she recreates some well-known and little-known film soundtrack selections using just the sound of her (multi-tracked) voice, then we move on to a number of live recordings from the great Alejandro Escovedo, and finish up with a few great covers of Bob Dylan songs and a denouement from the man himself.
