Ducks take 2-1 series lead

The fatigue factor may be why the Anaheim Ducks now hold a 2 games to 1 lead in their series with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Ducks took Game 3 by the score of 2-1, with the Hawks not able to tie the game despite having FIVE power plays, and outshooting the Ducks 10-5 in the 3rd period. After both team played through a triple overtime marathon two nights before, Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau admits that played into this game, though he won't give fatigue ALL the credit....

The Ducks converted on their only power play in the 1st period, with winger Patrick Maroon putting the Ducks ahead. The Hawks answered with a goal late in the period by winger Patrick Kane. But after Ducks defenseman Simon Despres scored in the 2nd, the Hawks couldn't respond. Hawks goalie Corey Crawford says they can't blame this loss on being tired...
