Today again, we will transport you to China. You will see in this video how China has transformed deserts into green forests. Is it really possible? In just a few years, China has gone from an agricultural state to one of the most industrialized states in the world. But all of this has a price. And the first victims are undoubtedly the forests. From East to West and from North to South, millions of hectares of forests are affected by this wave of desertification. In a few years, the desert has spread to many provinces such as Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu and Ningxia. The reasons for this desertification are numerous. The Chinese have changed their way of life. They have gone from a life of restriction to a life of great consumption. To meet the food needs of more than 1.4 billion people, the country has had to resort to intensive agricultural techniques. And it made the ground desert. Additionally, many industries require huge energy sources, such as coal. However, the latter can only be obtained from forests. The consequences of this desertification could be serious. It could spread from province to province and could reach the whole of China. Faced with this problem, the government decided to transform the deserts into green forests. But how exactly does this process take place?
