Another North Carolina opening day has arrived and I headed down to a public swamp to get a duck hunting fix I'd been waiting for. The weather has not be ideal so far for the 2020 season but we had a decent amount of mallards, gadwall, and ringnecks move into the area already. This was some high pressure public land we were hunting so we had to get on the water early but it ended up paying off with us getting a great hole all to ourselves and for our effort we were rewarded with a nice mixed bag.
