Video: Hospital Medicine in 2022: The Year in Review

The field of hospital medicine encompasses the care of acute illness across all the medical specialties. In this annual update, “the Brads” give us their lively synthesis of the evidence that changed clinical practice in 2022. Bradley Monash, MD, and Bradley Sharpe, MD, both award-winning clinician-educators and program leaders in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health, will describe recent evidence-based changes in treating hospitalized patients and discuss the challenges in keeping up-to-date on the current literature.

Speakers:

Bradley Monash, MD, is professor of Medicine and Pediatrics as well as vice chief of Clinical Affairs in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health. He also serves as the site director at Moffitt-Long Hospital for the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency, and as course director of Intro to Career Launch and Coda in the UCSF School of Medicine.

Bradley Sharpe, MD, is professor of Clinical Medicine and a clinician-educator in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health. He has held multiple leadership roles at UCSF, most recently as the chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health. He previously served as the associate program director for Inpatient Affairs for the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency. Since July 2021, Brad has focused on clinical care and teaching.
