Notes

Eddie Wilfahrt (1894-1974) was the younger brother of John "Hans" Wilfahrt (1893-1961), who became nationally known as "Whoopee John" Wilfahrt. In the early 1920s, Eddie played clarinet in his brother's concertina band, based in their birth town of Neu Ulm, Minnesota. When John moved to St. Paul, MN around 1924, Eddie began heading his own bands. Eddie Wilfahrts Concertina Orchester did only one recording session, on July 12, 1929, for the Okeh label in Chicago, but Eddie led a number of bands over the years that enjoyed regional popularity until at least the mid-1940s.

The recording on the other side of this disc: Marie.

Technical Notes: Some light crackling throughout.
