Civil rights icon Rev. Barrow dies - Audiolibro Gratis

Civil rights icon the Revered Willie Barrow has died.

She marched with Martin Luther King in Selma, Alabama.....and was known as the little warrior.

The Chicago Tribune quotes the Revered Jesse Jackson as saying she was a freedom fighter, who fought in the tradition of Rosa Parks.

Barrow helped found Operation Breadbasket, which later became Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, based in Chicago.

Barrow helped the poor and those in the most vulnerable communities in Chicago and also fought for women's rights.

She died early Thursday morning , after being hospitalized last month for a blood clot.

The Reverend Willie Barrow was 90 years old.
