In this video our family travels around Pattani town in the deep-south of Thailand. We are eating good food and talking to the lovely locals.

Mon is telling us about his childhood and why his parents hardly ever took him to the beach.

After we stumble upon a market on a different part of the beach. As is it the Hariraya, the Muslim celebration 6 days after the Ramadan, there market is packed with people who come to celebrate. There is good food, and lots of fun stuff for the kids. We try some typical Pattani food and some typical Thai food.

Evening time we visit a restaurant in Pattani town which had arabic and Middle-Eastern influence called Papa Tagu. See the location here:

We love the authentic set up, sitting on the floor and eating with our hands. The food is so delicious and we are all enjoying it so much. Mon is teaching me how to eat with my hands.
