Well, its here, after nearly two years of production it is finally here. I am in disbelief that we are here, it seemed like this would never be released. This project has technically been in the works since mid 2017, when I wrote a "Pirate Script" just for fun. During the filming of "The Legend" I got significantly attached to this story/characters, and decided to commit to working out the story better. After a collaboration with another writer (Eli Hutchinson), the final draft was completed in February 2020.
I was doubtful this project would ever be realized, since I was a senior in High School when the script was finalized, with college just on the horizon (Not to mention I was exhausted after "The Legend). Then, a little thing called Covid-19 happened around the world, meaning that the time to do it was now. So I assembled "A crew" (pun intended) and went to work. I didn't think this would take that long to film, with a release estimate being in Christmas of 2020. Then it kept on being pushed back, and back, until finally we are here. It was a tough road, but we made it.
This film is sort of a Frankenstein mesh of my favorite movies combined into one. It is also meant to be a tribute to the brickfilms of old, reliving my nostalgia, while also providing for a new generation. It was a tremendous challenge undertaking this, but it was fun nonetheless, I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
A huge thank you to Elliot Miller (Link to his channel below under 'Lt. Bolton'), for creating the VFX for this movie. From cannon explosions, to CGI Krakens, this production could not have been done without him. I am grateful to have had his help in this production, he has come a long way as a filmmaker, be sure to check out his work. That goes for the rest of the cast listed below as well.
A few quick notes (Be sure to turn the quality up all the way to 1080 HD. We couldn't quite render it in 4K like we wanted, but it should still look the same.
