Plov, the staple of Uzbekistan! The incredible dish is both street food and food fit for a celebration. Uzbek Plov (also known as Pilaf/Pilau), is the national dish. The cooking process is a complete art form in itself. We are in the best place in the entirety of Central Asia to try Plov - "The Central Asian Plov Centre", in the heart of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

We had the amazing opportunity to to spend the day with some of Uzbekistan's most skilled chefs. We arrived at 6:30AM to watch, learn & appreciate the skill, patience & hard work that goes in to making & selling out over a tonne of Plov, every single day.
