Video: MATCHBOX Custom No SB24 Skybuster F16 1978

This Matchbox model is a fast military jet from the 70's. It was way ahead of it's time, with computer controlled 'fly by wire' control surfaces. It is a multi role combat aircraft which can be used for offensive or defensive roles and can be equipped with a multitude of weapon configurations to suit virtually any need. With it's high visibility domed canopy and it's reclined ejection seat ( to reduce G forces on ejection ) it was well received by it's pilots.

I wanted this model to look like the aggressive war machine that it is. I went for the contrasting camouflage scheme that is representative of the 'Lizard Flanker' style adopted by USAF units that present as hostile forces during pilot training and competitions which take place over the Nevada desert each year.
