Other highlights of this issue include the story of a dare that goes rather hairy in "Mr. Martin's Scalp"; the saga of "How the Little Smiths Got Their Fourth-of-July Money" by preparing for a patriotic family contest; and a lesson in the anatomy of flowers to find out "How Do They Grow?".
