Deeparture: A Tribute To Helly Larson (Expanded) - Free Archive Audio

Upon hearing the sad news of Helly Larson's passing on Sunday 27th August, less than a year after he was diagnosed with brain cancer, I felt compelled to put together a tribute to commemorate his Music. A tragic loss to the music world, Helly Larson was one of the deep house movement's brightest stars, a producer whose work I and many others have followed and respected for many years. Originally, I had chosen 17 tracks from his extensive back catalogue for my Mixcloud upload, which was no mean feat, if only to try and represent the full spectrum of his Sound, namely dub techno, deep space house, and minimal house. Since then I've gone back to this mix and revised it: changing the order of some tracks and including another seven tracks, bringing the total to 24, with a total running time of 120 minutes.R.I.P.
