About
Emergency planning expert David Redman says there were significant issues with Canada's planning process before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which led to a wave of fear and a widespread loss of confidence in politicians. Redman, who headed Alberta's counter-terrorism strategy and served as executive director of that province's Emergency Management Agency, says leaders just weren't interested in hearing advice from emergency planners, and he joins Gormley to tell us more about the major mistakes we saw over the past year.
