About

Gino Marinuzzi (Palermo, 24.03.1882 - Milan, 17.08.1945): Italian opera conductor and composer.

He studied at the Palermo Conservatory. Performed many Wagner operas, and Italian operas.

1917: directed the world premiere of La Rondine (Puccini) in Monte Carlo Opera

1919-1921: artistic director of Chicago Opera Association

1928-1934: artistic director of Rome Opera

1930: directed the world premiere of  Lo Straniero (Ildebrando Pizzetti) in Teatro dell'Opera, Rome

Between 1915-1933 he directed 7 seasons at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
