Memories of Fukushima TJUC member Graham Shelby grew up in Kentucky but not long after graduating from UK, he and his wife found themselves as the only Americans living in a small town in Fukushima, Japan. (He also didnât speak Japanese.) Graham spent three years there teaching English to middle-schoolers, making friends and memories. Now, living in Louisville, he's seen the place he once called home become synonymous with the nuclear catastrophe taking place there. Graham offers a look at Fukushima before and after  the current crisis and explores the lessons people inside and outside may derive from spending time there.
