About
We were happy to have with us Morari Bapu, noted exponent of _kathaa_s, for an evening's Satsangh at the Vivekananda Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi.
A recording of Morari Bapu's talk is presented here.
Morari Bapu (Moraridas Prabhudas Hariyani) was born on 25 September 1946 in Talgajarda near Mahuva, Gujarat. He is a popular kathakaar (preacher), who has been giving 9 day-long sermons (kathaas) in both Gujarati and Hindi all over the world since the mid-1970s. To date, he has conducted over 700 kathaas, most of them based on the Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidas and other such works about Rama as well as Gopigeet which has the gopis of Vrindavan singing of the glory of Krishna. The overall ethos of his Katha is universal peace and spreading the message of truth, love and compassion. While the focal point is the scripture itself, Bapu draws upon examples from other religions and invites people from all faiths to attend the discourses.
