Master chef feeds homeless in Rio - Free Audiobook

The gastronomic destination is the brainchild of Italian master chef Massimo Bottura. A master chef has figured out what to do with tons of left over food at the Olympics in Rio...he's serving it to homeless people.Italian chef Massimo Bottura's using leftover ingredients from Olympic caterers and other local partners to create a 'gourmet soup kitchen.'More than 230 tons of food is supplied daily to prepare 60-thousand meals for athletes, coach and staff....a lot of it would go to waste if not for Chef Massimo.The chef says he was inspired by Pope Francis' advocacy for the poor and modeled his project on a similar one he organized last year in an abandoned theater during the Milan world's fair....the Rio soup kitchen's located just outside of the Olympic village on a dilapidated lot in Lapa. The people who show up to eat, are treated to a three course meal, cooked by chefs who are used to preparing meals for the rich.Once the games are over, the project will morph into a lunchtime restaurant, proceeds of which will fund evening meals for the homeless.
