A fun run kicks off a list of thinks to check out in Chicago Wednesday.

This is In the Loop -- Powered by Metromix.

The Adventure run happens on the second Wednesday of the month at Road Runner Sports on Good Island.

The run lasts for an hour -- everyone's encouraged to go at their own speed -- and there're raffle prizes and Goose Island beers to share after the run.

And it's totally free to join.

Lot's of shows going on for a Wednesday night.

Irish singer-songwriter Hozier's playing at Millenium Park with Dawes -- that show's rain or shine and starts at 7.

My Morning Jacket's at the Chicago Theater and Maps & Atlases're playing a show at Lincoln Hall.

And keeping with the outdoors theme -- gotta enjoy it while we can -- you can catch 'The Giver' at Wolfe Playground Park.

The park's in the East Side neighborhood and it starts at 8:30.
