Shades of The Prisoner of Zenda! All our old friends are here—the young king, the usurping uncle and his evil henchman, the beautiful princess, the loyal retainer and the unwilling imposter. What more could you Hope for? This fast-paced story stays far away from Tarzan’s jungle or the inner world of Pellucidar.
I loved this book! I think it's one of Edgar Rice Burroughs better written books. It's more true to life then the r St of his books. AND the narration was excellent. It took a bit to get used to him but all in all he did a wonderful job narrating. I don't know his name to give him credit though. We need more books like this to choose from. Thank you. :0)
Yawn, a typical E R Burroughs novel. The lone American character takes on the world single handed and with more lives and luck than a cat wins out every time. It also helps that all those around him are either too dumb, blind or incapable to stop him. Listen for a laugh as many an American movie script writer could only dream of such a character. The story may be lame however the narration is very good.
